Guesthouse East Under New Ownership

Local Firm is Beating the Recession (Press Release)
The GPS-Direct's Eastbourne office has in the last twelve months alone sold seven local Hotels making it one of the leading “business transfer agencies” in the town.
GPS has an extensive knowledge of Eastbourne and surrounding areas and has gained a reputation for getting results.

GPS-Direct are pleased to announce the sale of South Coast Tropics, a local company specialising in the sale of both tropical and cold water fish.

The business was sold on behalf of a vendor who had been the trade for some 20 years to John Inman, a local businessman witha keen interest in tropical fish.

New Name for Eastbourne Seafront Hotel (Press Release)
The Channel View Hotel in Royal Parade has a new name and new owners.
It’s been bought by Barbara and Colin Cameron from Tonbridge in Kent who are going to re name it “Sea View”.
Barbara says “I’ve spent the last 19 years working as a design manager for a mail order company and wanted the opportunity to start up a business. I am very excited about owning a guesthouse on Eastbournes famous seafront. Extensive refurbishment plans for the property are now underway including a brand new name”.

After being with a number of different estate agents The Channel View Hotel was sold by local company GPS- Direct which is fast gaining a reputation for getting results when it comes to selling local businesses.
Its Director is Roger Cotton,”It is encouraging to complete the sale of another landmark Guesthouse .It leaves us needing similar properties for the growing number of people opting out of corporate life. Ignore the news because now really is a good time to sell”.
The Channel View was sold by Sandra Morris who is now touring Venice before settling back in Eastbourne.

Award Winning Hotel under New Ownership (Press Release)
One of Eastbourne's top Guesthouses, The Cherry Tree in Silverdale Road, is now under new ownership.
It was sold by Lynda Couch-Smith who acquired it in 2004 and carried out an extensive refurbishment programme to improve its Star rating. The Cherry Tree gained entry into the Michelin Guide two years running and was named Small Business of the Year in 2005/6.
The new owners are Carol and Richard Butler from Kent who have a background in telecommunications and teaching. Carol is delighted to have relocated to Eastbourne, "it's always been our dream to run our own Guesthouse and the town has so much to offer". We look forward to welcoming guests to the Cherry Tree".

Despite the much publicised downtown, the sale generated a great deal of interest from all parts of the UK and beyond. Lynda Couch-Smith, who is also Vice Chairman of Eastbourne's Hospitality Association, says "the highlight of my time at the Cherry Tree was having the world renowned travel writer Bill Bryson to stay". Lynda is remaining in Eastbourne to run Pizzazz Marketing which specialises in PR and Press Campaigns and Media Training.

Legendary Brighton Café Sold by GPS-Direct
A legendary all-night café, which has served hungry revellers for more than 30 years has been sold by GPS-Direct off of an asking price of £175,000.
The family business has been sold to Jane and Tony Parnell from Chipping Norton. Jane was once a regular customer of the cafe, during her time studying catering in the town.
The sale proves that, even in difficult economic times, a good business marketed professionally will achieve a satisfactory sale.
